WORKSHOPS

Theatre9/12’s workshops are pay-what-you-can for company members. Guests of the company are welcome after an interview and invitation; see note below about fees.


The first workshops offered will be:  MASTER CLASS SCENE STUDY, COMPANY CLASS, and SCRIPT ANALYSIS.  Later:  Authentic Italian Comedia, and the Techniques of Acting Comedy.


All classes are held at our theatre: 609 Eighth Avenue (between James and Cherry streets) downtown.

A note on “suggested” fees:

Actors struggle with finances more disproportionately than most professions. Theatre9/12 will assume that those actors gifted with comfortable finances will volunteer the full suggested fee, for all others, a more manageable number will be arranged.

I cannot tolerate the idea that a talented performer, who wants to study, cannot because of something as arbitrary as money.
